What is the difference between outdoor tanning vs. indoor tanning?
Your skin tans the same way outdoors as it would in an indoor tanning salon due to ultraviolet (UV) light exposure. However, out in the sun, you cannot control the amount of UV light exposure and trying to achieve an even tan all over your body is very difficult. Indoor tanning allows you to control the amount of UV light, for an all-over even tan. With indoor tanning you can gradually increase your exposure time eliminating any sunburn, which is harmful to the skin.

What is the difference between sunscreen and indoor tanning lotion?
Sunscreen is for outdoor sun exposure only. It protects you from ultraviolet rays from the sun.  There are some tanning lotions or oils that can be used outside to help with intensifying your tan. These lotions are not recommended for indoor tanning. We do not allow outdoor tanning lotions or any spray oils in our beds. There are specific indoor tanning lotions that we offer. They vary from intensity or bronzer. The higher the number of bronzer, the more bronze you will get. Some indoor tanning lotions have a tingle mixed in them or a warming agent. Ask any of our knowledgeable staff to assist you with your needs.

What is the difference between traditional tanning beds vs. stand up booths?

Most traditional beds offer 20 minute sessions with less wattage in the bulbs. Stand up models have more blubs with higher intensity (more wattage) allowing less exposure.

What is the benefit of using the facial bulb?

Using the facial bulb will give you more even color around your face. You have the option to use the facial bulb or not. There is no extra charge for this option.

How long will my tan last?

It depends on your skin type and if you’re using any tanning lotions to help increase your tan.  Most tans will last 2-3 days. It is best to regularly tan to keep a good base tan and color.
